Hi I am Anish. Although my parents are from Uttar Pradesh (UP), I was born and brought up in Punjab. My schooling took me firstly to Lucknow and later to Ghaziabad. Next, I did my BSc (H) Chemistry fromm Ramjas College, Delhi University, in 2013. After that, I headed to Pune for my masters and PhD at IISER Pune, and did my PhD trying to design and control the outcomes of nanoparticle self-assembly processes.

My post PhD journey not only took me outside India, but also outside my comfort zone. After finishing my PhD in 2020, first I moved to Spain, where I not only improved my self-assemblyt skills, but also learned the synthesis of high-quality nanoparticles, These skills came in super handy when I took a larger step out of my comfort zone to develop an autonomous platform for the design and synthesis of nanoparticles. Taking a deeper dive into the world of both software and hardware programming.

Since 2025, I am based in Switzerland and here I am working with DNA orgami and single particle spectroscopy to create advanced nanoplasmonic platforms. My research experience spans equilibrium and non-equilibrium systems, nanoparticle catalysis, artificial intelligence for science, and developing advanced sensing protocols. I enjoy building bridges across disciplines, combining chemistry, physics, and engineering to design and develop next-generation of materials.
